baybuscamperkid - August 31st, 2006 at 06:23 PM

nice one, i was watching that on ebay

CAFFINEPUSHERMAN - August 31st, 2006 at 06:41 PM

it's a 1964 Lambretta those into scooters say they are better engineered having previously owned 5 vespas and 2 lambrettas i tend to agree they blow the doors off vespas and handle better they are a little longer i think it helps .the only shame is inocennti/lambretta went broke in the late 60's but they are immensly popular in europe and have there own race series!!

Wow! What a cool ride ..... I too am a fan of the scooter. Would dearly love to own a lipstick pink Vespa. But living in Werribee would surely get killed by the Gino's in their lowered Commodores ........

it is a well known fact that when riding retro scooters, one must wear full biking leathers, visored helmet, and hell's angels/rebels/bandido's insignia.

ride on brotha.

Fireball xl5 - August 31st, 2006 at 08:14 PM

had a vespa, wanted a lambretta.
looks nice, but how can you resist a small overbore and pipe kit?

malcolm - August 31st, 2006 at 08:26 PM

byronbus - August 31st, 2006 at 08:29 PM

I do regret selling my vespa last year, the fuel prices went up...and the price of scooters...

What does a decent reliable lambretta set you back?

decked dubby - August 31st, 2006 at 10:55 PM

Jeez, thats super nice. Scooters are cool, i have a 1952 and a 1967 vespa.

shaihulud - August 31st, 2006 at 11:06 PM

My first vehicle was a Lambretta Model D 125. That is one of the very rare open models. They are mechanically the same as the Model LD which has enclosed body work.

That one in the pic looks like a Model Li or maybe a Tv.

I had a model D, A friend had a model B and another had a model F. They were rarish then (1960s) and they are collectors items now.

Even then we looked down on Vespa owners as wannabee Lambretta owners.

byronbus - August 31st, 2006 at 11:07 PM

Pics deckeddubby?

What does a decent reliable lambretta cost?

CAFFINEPUSHERMAN - August 31st, 2006 at 11:30 PM

i got this one for 3800 which is super cheap it's had a nut and bolt resto everything is brand new right down to the michelins :thumb i know that it cost me more than that in parts alone with other restos
