Details as follows:

Applications are now invited for the position of Analyst Programmer within the Information Technology Division, Coniston.

Reporting to the Pillar Application Systems Manager through the Team Leader, this role’s primary objective is to analyse, design, develop, test and document application enhancements and changes to improve Pillar business efficiency to meet regulatory requirements.

Knowledge and Experience/Essential Selection Criteria

 Analysis of functional requirements specifications and translation into technical specifications.
 Develop technical specifications
 Designing, developing and maintaining application enhancements/changes and associated documentation.
 Design and develop programs/program changes.
 Plan and undertake unit, system and integration testing of programming changes.
 Provide support as required to the Business Analyst to develop specifications and conduct acceptance testing of the changes.
 Experience in an IT or comparable industry, in programming and applications design.
 Application design experience.
 Ideally .NET proficient.
 Programme disciplines to include VB/C#/VBA/HTML/ASP.Net/Web Services.
 Database experience (Access/SQL/DB2).
 Problem solving i.e. to be able to identify solutions to applications problems.
 Thorough knowledge of the System Development Lifecycle.
 Thorough understanding of the importance of the performance and usability of programs.
 Good interpersonal skills to be able to interpret functional specifications and communicate with Business Analyst Application Development Teams and Production Services Team.
 Tertiary Qualifications or equivalent in an IT discipline.
 Commitment and capacity to implement EEO, OH&S, ethical practices and cultural diversity policies and practices.

Desirable Selection Criteria

 Programme disciplines to include JAVA/Unix Shell Scripting.
 Understanding of SOA

Salary Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience and negotiated with the successful applicant.
