I was so excited to win the footy tipping comp at my work. I won by one point as I got the perfect round last round.
At the start of the year my work mate nagged at me to go in the footy tipping comp. I said I don't even like football, I don't even watch it on
tele. I said ok then I will. I've led nearly all year I've got 3 perfect rounds. And I told my work mate I haven't watched so much football in
my whole live as I have in this year.
Now I can't wait till next year do you think they will let me in it? I think it is so funny that someone that has never followed footy can win a
footy tipping comp go figure. Can't wait to go shopping with my $400. Hubby want's me to spend it on vw parts.:bounce:bounce
I run the footy tipping at work. Have done for 5 years. Its free and i give away beer to talk to customers.
This year was one of the screwiest ever.
NO ONE was a regular picker. The teame were all over the place.
Made it great for noobs to get in there and win.
Well done!!
Rip into them again next year
Yes well done. good luck next year.
I went in the one at work too this year and got 3rd which is $60. i'm pretty happy with that conidering i haven't watched a game this year. Everyone
at work said it was the hardest year for ages to pick, which probably aided me in getting so high.

We've got 130 in our comp with a $6500 pool. The top 10 get a prize, as does every 10th place thereafter, along with perfect round winners.
I came 11th. :puke

Congrats to you Rose.
I don't follow football either bet that was quite a surprise to win anything let alone $400
Spend it on that beautiful vw of yours...

Thanks Judy, I might buy it a new steering wheel that's all I can think of that it needs at the moment. Yes it's quiet funny when you don't even follow football. It's made me watch it to see if I was going to get a point or not. It was exciting. Are you going to Warwick I'll see you there if you are.
Congrats to you, Rose!
I too am a winner of my work tipping contest - I was leading the footy tipping all year and even though the really competitive guys were fishing my
completed tipping card out of the box each week to tip against me (to try and catch up) I still won by 6 points. Problem is I quit my job 2 weeks
before the end of tipping but gave 6 weeks notice, but they walked me out 1 week in to my resignation period (bloody Banks!). So officially I was
still employed and allowed to tip and one of my work friends put my tips in for the final week... Long story short, they are keeping my $500 winners
prize and taking themselves out to lunch and I'm not invited!
Was going to use the money to transport my new Type 3 from Vic to Tassie but will have to find the $$ elsewhere - preferably from the lotto win I have
to get this weekend! Wishful thinking but some people take these footy tipping contests too far... Oh well, there's always next year!
That sucks. :cry
I left my job in May and I was still aloud to be in the tipping comp I made sure that my other friend at my old work reminded me to put them in. Yer
I always say I wont see ya monday cause I'm going to win lotto on Saturday night. Can only wish one day it will happen.
