Steve Irwin Cruise
brendan24688 - September 8th, 2006 at 08:04 PM

How ya goin guys,

Im new to the site and with the recent passing of Steve i was thinking maby we could organise a cruise up to beerwah and visit australia zoo. Maby aslo everyone give some money and it could be donated to wildlife warriors. I thought it would be a good idea to get to meet new people and a good day to racognise one of the greatest blokes Australia has seen. Just thought i would throw the idea out there and see what sort of response we get.

Cheers Brendan

Can't do this Sat as my bug is being used for a wedding car.
I think give people plenty of notice so they can plan this with their families....I think a lot of kids would love to go to this.
Maybe in the school holidays coming up...

Well I live at Bald Hills on the north side of Brissy... Looks like most of you guys are from NSW ect. Anyone got anyideas where everyone would like to meet up. Tere will obviously have to be a couple of meeting points.

mid 64 - September 10th, 2006 at 02:50 PM

I'll be on that cruise if it goes ahead.
Will be a bit sad but if we can add to the contributions that Australia has allready done ,it would be a good thing.

Hay BRENDAN just got this GREAT message today.. Welcome to the site and this is a wonderful idea.... We have all been cut up really bad by the passing of this FABULOUS person.. We went up on the Wednesday PM (of the week he passed) and it was unbelievable and just so healing in many ways.

I would love to be part of this RUN, But could we possibly hold off to hear about when his "Public Memorial" will be? What's everyones thoughts on this?

I can get more of the BRISSY people to come aboard for this worthwhile VW Outing to Aust Zoo...

Let us know your thoughts.

"FERN" ButterBug
:cry THE RESPONSE SOUNDS LIKE IT WILL BE "HUGE" the only problem we are all having is picking a date. There is a couple of things happening on the 23 SEPT, so I think this is going to be out. "SO" how is SUNDAY 24 SEPT looking for everyone. The following weekend is "WARICK DRAGS" so that will be out of the question.

ALTERNATIVELY - HOW ABOUT 8th OCTOBER, this looks free!!! To be honest - it won't matter when we do this convoy to honour/remember/say goodbye to Steve IRWIN, as long as we all get together, and remember "This Great Legend" (money could be donated to wildlife warriors) is a great idea and Australia Zoo would be greatful at any time.

LET'S KEEP PURSISTING WITH THIS GOOD CAUSE
