type3hunter - September 12th, 2006 at 02:04 PM

I would like to buy a rubber (replace all the seals) kit for my type 3 notch 1965. i can get the seals from america but they cost a fortune, each! Is this usual, and am i just going to have to buy each one individually...or can I buy them in Aus at a reasonable price?

thanks for any help

Hi,
I believe Wolfsburg Automotive in Victoria have had these seals made... so top quality...

If You look in the current issue of VWA Magazine, You will see their parts catalog in the centre of the magazine..
for beetles Kombis and type 3s...

their phone number : 1300 370 310

cheers

Generally good quality seals for anything are expensive. Being a bit less common, type 3 seals were even more expensive. I have not checked out Wolfburg Automotive's prices, maybe they are reasonable.

Cheap seals are generally poor quality in both material and fit.

I got some new seals for my notch from wolfsburg auto in Vic, got new doors, rear bootlid, front bonnet and guard beading cost about $260 all up, quality is good but would still like to compare against WCM. But still happy with purchase.
