What cars are you into other than VW?
Nirvana-VW - October 4th, 2006 at 11:17 PM

Ive got my first kombi, and love it, but what else do you people own or have owned that you had a passion for?

Myself, ive owned about 4 rx3 coupes, 1 stock,1 13b turbo that ran flat 12's on street tyres, a tarmac rally car with a 13b bridge port,a rx4 coupe with a 13bt running mid 12's ,and the one i have now is a rx3 coupe running a 12a turbo that runs 10 second quarters with 400rwhp.

And my kombi will soon be having a stockie 13b N/A on gas slapped in the back of it

Ahh....easy this one....

My Old Landrover...which magically dissapeard about 7 months ago....

Still miss the thing as it goes , they are like Leica camera's theres nothing really flash about them...but they do a better job than anything the Japanese can mass produce.
Can count the number of itmes Ive pulled them out of Fraser Island..Blue Mountains..etc etc etc..The Toyo's Bitsamissin etc etc etc that is...hehehehe

But anything with wheels, really

urban_myth - October 5th, 2006 at 10:03 AM

just bought a '97 model skyline gts-t for while me and dad build up a beetle

rupewrecht - October 5th, 2006 at 10:45 AM

I've also got a Mazda Astina Hardtop thats been turboed with just under 200kw at the front wheels. That's the 'other' project car.

pic: http://rupewrecht.com/astina/photos/astina_rolling.jpg

looks a fair bit different at the moment though - its about seven different colors!

rose - October 5th, 2006 at 10:54 AM

Hi BloodyPom I love your arvitar.

BMW'S as they are also a german car love them.

beelzebug - October 5th, 2006 at 11:33 AM

Apart from the 6 volt swinger
99 MX5 - SO's
06 Golf GTI - mine
58 Triumph TR3A
64 Triumph TR4
Now, who was bagging British cars the other day?

squizy - October 5th, 2006 at 11:41 AM

I love the old British stuff, but there's no one marque as such...just snippets of different cars I like. The snarl of a V12 Jag, the over-run of a 911 Turbo, the lines of a Volvo P1800, the sheer power of a top fueler, my old Suzuki Swift GTI, a Rex going full pelt up the old Pacific Hwy, my KG....ahhh.....it's what makes us car nuts init?

frank2112 - October 5th, 2006 at 11:43 AM

Mini's - Real ones not the new BMW version.
I actually have grown to like the wife's PT Cruiser.

jo_tas - October 5th, 2006 at 12:20 PM

I am very much a sucker for Mini's, particularly Moke's, older Volvo's (240 series and before... and I really love the 142S coupe :dork:), old Morris Commercials, older Holdens (VH Commodore and prior), and I also do have a secret passenger bus fetish... yes thats right, full size 50 seat transit buses heheheh.

I really would love to get my hands on this... '75 Bedford YRT with Custom Coaches step-deck body... IMO one of the prettiest buses ever made short of the Flxible Clipper.

http://www.bussalesonline.com.au/buses/363-1.jpg

And only $10,000

Not only do they look nice they sound awsome!...imagine an F-350 on steroids! :tu:

Our neighbour just bought (and is now selling due to the stupid cost of running it) a very straight original condition VE... has the original factory V8... yummyyumyum! :bounce

Warrenm - October 5th, 2006 at 01:47 PM

My nephew has just been given a VC station wagon-one owner-42000ks- never met guy before and he admired his XY which is a rust bucket but too mean to spend money on it.

This is a real bus-not huge but very good

i love the minis as well... being a big fella its always a good suprise to see me unfold out of one and look at the faces of other commuters as i do so.

love the big old bedford vans; so huge! i wonder how many surfboards/surfers/illegal immigrants you can stack in the back of one of those...

my dad is a huge fan of the '69 corvette stingray... when i make my fortune i'll buy him one... thats if he hasnt bought one for himself when he retires. did someone say retirement age crisis?

Ich fahre ein Kdf ein Tag - October 5th, 2006 at 05:16 PM
