My wife fixed my dub.
Hertz - October 21st, 2006 at 05:11 PM

So I was cruising to work to other day in my VW, when half way there I had to brake pretty hard and this Really Horrible scraping squeling noise started coming from the front of my car.

The noise was bloody loud and everyone was looking at me like, what is wrong with that car.

I had some problems a few weeks back when my new wheel bolts fouled one of the brake springs, so I assumed thats what it was, and decided to carefully take it home.

By the time I got home I was running pretty late, and I was real pissed off. My wife drove me to work in her car.

I didnt have much time to fix it, so I grabbed a company car from work, and was driving that since wednesday.

While at work today, my wife rang me and told me she had fixed my car. Bullshit I thought.

Yep, shes fixed it, its not making that noise anymore, all sorted.

Turns out there was nothing wrong with my brakes. As my wife was walking past my car she noticed that one of the bolts had fallen out of my front number plate and it was folded under the car, dragging on the road.

Ive been driving a puss box Camry around since Wednesday for nothing.

My bro had a similar prob with his hairy lux duel cab, everytime he braked or accelerated it started making a kinda ringing noise, mechanic couldn't find anything wrong. I pushed it sideways when it was parked and it made the same sound only not so bad, checked under and found the buckle end of a tie down strap dangling alongside the muffler (so thats where the bastard got to )
Mind you I reckon his mises coulda fixed it, or at least the mechanics mises

This has happened more than once in our household, Suzii has little fingers and much patience for shitty car and bike repair jobs.

She's a great asset in the garage and makes tasty sandwiches as well...love the girl!

65busser - October 22nd, 2006 at 11:14 PM

Hard to know which is more embarrassing...driving a cool bug with a load scrapng noise at the front or driving a Camry!
