G'day to all,
Don't ya' just love it when you want to insure a 30 year old car?! My Kombi will be refurbed in about 3 weeks and seeing I live in an area noted for
it's summer hail storms I want it to be insured properly. I have always been with AAMI but when I rang them up they wouldn't insure it
comprehensively. Any suggestions for a "good" insurance company? Thanks,

GIO have a very good one for vintage cars (30+ years old)
comprehensive and cheap! even for young drivers
what wild1 said, i got my 72 wagon with gio, their vintage cover is comprehensive, with salvage option, my lil wagons only costing me a couple of hundred a year.
Yes shannons I have our 56, 58, 62, 71, 73 beetles & my 03 bmw insured through them they love me very cheap probably cause I have so many and I can't drive them all at once as for an example my 56 oval is insured for $9,500 and only cost me around $250. And they are always very helpful.
shannons. Also take photos of you car and send to them.. They might be able to Increase value.
that's a good idea as i don't really know what my oval is worth or replacement wise thanks
Yes i'll second (or third) the Shannon's reccomendation. We've got quite a good deal with them. Will try & find the policy soon.
Iv insured my 54 with shannons i got it valued and they said 20 grand. i recomend shannons and get someone to check it,if its nice youl get good figures
yep shannons covered my 54 oval as well

I have 5 cars and a bike with shannons.......... excellent value.
Well I was going to Shannons,
but for some reason went with the NRMA....
I sent them a heap of photos....
same sort of deal that shannons have....
Lee
check nrma for salvage rights as with shannons you have salvage rights if its written off.
Yes,
the Main thing I wanted with Insurance was - that I had the salvage rights...
ie.. car is still owned by Me after being written off....
The NRMA Insurance was virtually the same as Shannons..
I just can't find the policy at the moment...
I also have roadside assist with NRMA....
