The one above was a friend of mine, John from Glen Innes. He has now sold this and is on its way to the UK. A guy called Andy Southard bought it. It tempted me hard.

nah man, this ones fully restored.

its not as kool as those earlier models.
but they are asking $20,000.

All the advertisement says is:

"VERY VERY RARE! Tempo matador 1-1/2 Tonne Truck, fully restored, been in procession. Book & Parts available, VIN 153VL6281. Ph Ray Mob 0412 159 606, NSW"

It doesn't look as classic as the one i put up in the pic... have no idea what yr it is though. Would luv to get my hands on the book though!

its a lowlight too.... and the other downside, NOT a split screen :(

whatnow - October 26th, 2006 at 12:06 AM

decked how much did the one from glenn go for? i can certainly see why you were tempted... so cool. (maybe streached like the car carrier above but with a 3 - 4 - 5" chop. hell they made 2000? of them, they're not that rare.)

henry.

edit: typ 114, thanks for the extra info. i had no idea it was that many. would the one advertised in just cars be the later non vw powered model?

I don't know what he got for it? Didn't ask. Yes i was very tempted.

That Matador for sale now looks heaps like a Austin.
