Thanks In advance

I can get them from the importer Nectar if you want one. I use 'em on mine. Give us a buzz if you want one. About $75 wholesale.

So long as they are good quality vinyl with a nice soft non abrasive interior...
$75 sounds pretty good to Me...
even better if it fits a beetle... [not too large]

I have bought a few.... I think the same brand??
they are silver vinyl with a soft coating inside [non abrasive]and have air cooling flaps and come with a nice bag to store it in...
I bought the last one on ebay...very cheaply.. was off a Vitara... so its much too large for a beetle... and My Lancer
I should get it made shorter...

In total Outside weather {SUN]
these only last a couple of years...
the cheap nylon ones much shorter than that...
even the expensive nylon type ones...

Many years ago I had an L300 express, which was in the weather all the time, and I was given a new very large non waterproof canvas cover... rectangular in shape...
I used this on a daily basis for many years... mostly in the summer... sometimes on & off a few times a day...
I used to take it with Me...
it never scratched or wore any paint off the vehicle....

I finally used it to cover one of My Sons Beetles for many years before it fell apart.... [out in the weather]

I had My Name - licence number address and phone number written on this canvas, so it wouldn't get stolen...

I would like to write something on My current car cover to stop it from being stolen...
but these days , there is no way I;m writing ALL My details on the car cover....

What would You write on it????

REGO NUMBER??

We bought ours from either CIP1 or Rocky Mountain Motorworks about 3 years ago. It is still in great shape although it is usually on overnight as I drive during the day. It is on in all weather though with no problems.

It is shaped to suit a beetle and it even has "ears" to suit the mirrors. It has been out in some really windy conditions without even looking like blowing off the car. It was more expensive than $75 though, just can't remember how much. I think the brand is wolf or something like that.

There are a couple of choices quality wise. There is a grey heavy cotton water resistant and there's a silver vinyl/soft cotton inner waterproof. The first is the one I like and the latter is a bit more expensive, but not by much.
The grey ones will eventually let water seep through after 6-12 months, but they let plenty of air get to the car, so you don't have condensation from heat etc forming.
The heavy silver with soft cotton underneath are completely water proof, but if you don't air the car, (take the cover off), pretty regularly they can do what the above doesn't. ...And, there was a cat that used to walk over one I had on my last Splitty, and it put tiny puncture holes in the thing which let water in, then caused a problem with sweating and bubbles under the paint.
They're made by Autotecnica. You would have seen them in the auto stores. The owner of Autotecnica is a mate of mine from way back and looks after me and has said he's happy to look after any of my VW mates, (but through me; don't go to the stores expecting a discount).
If the car's gonna sit for a while, I'd get one of the lighter ones and replace it every year or so, but if it's a car you use regularly, the heavier ones great.
