Hi All...
Can anyone suggest a good reliable air compressor brand.
i will be travelling on corrugated roads on the wknd and i have been told that if it gets too rough, i should let some pressure out of the tyres.
Heading to Mungo National Park this wknd!!
So i guess i'll be needing an air compressor.
I have also been told to get a portable battery jump starter. I would prefer to get a reliable one, rather than a one-use bunnings model!!!
A decent 4WD accessories place will have that kind of equipment available. You can go there and talk to them and get prices. Ask them what brands they would supply and why? Then do some more research on those brands at other locations and see what price you come up with.
cheers helbus....
i've just moved to ferntree gully, any good local 4WD shops around???
actually i drove past a caravan n camping supplies shop the other day, its just round the corner, i might give that a go.
There are a couple of 4WD shops on Burwood Hwy on the way to Upper Gully. One is on the left a few hundred meters from the servo on the junction of FTG Rd and Burwood Hwy, near Bursons.

i know where u mean....its a bit past the caravan place i mentioned earlier. i'll stop by tomorrow morning.
i need a proper petrol jerry can too, i'm travelling overnight from Melbourne to Mungo National Park and I expect to run out somewhere deep into
Victoria....its best not to relly on the 24 hr 7 days service station to be open in Charlton, been stung by that one before on another dessert
journey.

I used to be a 4wd instructor and we found the BushRanger Max Air to be the best one. I think it has a 5year warranty with it and I think they were around $280-$350 so not cheap but a good bit of gear.
