Manxclub Status
Baja Wes - December 14th, 2006 at 01:59 PM

Hi all,

Some of you may have seen a post here today about the Manxclub not replying and other claims. These claims were not true, and one of the forum admins have removed the post.

I answer the info@manxclub.org email address. I reply to every manxclub oriented email that comes in.

If you don't have a subject heading in the email, or it is ambiguous, then it will probably disappear in the spam mail folder. If your email doesn't work, just try again. It isn't unusual for emails to go missing for strange reasons from time to time.

We also get people send money with no name or anything to the club, and we can't even figure out who it's from sometimes. So if you send something, make it clear who it's from, your member number, and what it's for.

We have had some recent communication problems with the verification, as the previous verification officier left with little warning, so everything is being transferred back to a new officier. It has made a little bit of a mess of the verfication process, but please bear with us. We may ask you to resend photo's if we can't find the originals anymore.

Also note that none of us get paid to run the club. So the PO Box is not checked daily. It is checked whenever the nominated member has a chance to check it.

And remember, a club only works if the members in it get involved and help out.

I must say that it is this thread that is of concern to me.

I did read the thread in question. A bloke having a go at a club that not one, but two members of which just happen to be administrators here.

I'm not surprised the thread disappeared.

Now we have an administrator, outright, calling one of the members a liar.

Now don't get me wrong, it didn't sound like the way Brad, or anything connected with him, would operate.
But having said that, I, personally, would not make the claims this bloke made without being able to back it up.

I didn't remove the thread.

I did however U2U the person in question, and explained to them why the thread was removed, and that what he said was no true.

We have since exchanged multiple emails and have sorted the issues out.

He did have responses from me in the past, and he had not mentioned to me in the past that he had made a payment for verification. So his post (now in the moderators suspended post area) was in fact incorrect.

So there is nothing strange going on, just a good old fashion bit of poor communication blowing things out of proportion :D
