NEWCASTLE EURO DAY (this sunday!)
VWFOOL - December 15th, 2006 at 09:29 AM

Dear VW owners

As u may recall, the 3rd annual Euro Classic Car Day hosted by the Hunter MG Club in Feb this year was a huge success. We doubled the amount of VWs that showed up the year before with over 100 Dubs lined up to represent VW for all the euro car nuts in newcastle.

We literally stole the show and ended up coming away with our 2nd trophy in a row for best club display, not only that, we helped raise money for a worthy chairty in the process.

As there is no official VW show in Newcastle/Hunter area, we have come to look on Euro Day as our own mini VW show within a larger show. With over 300 other makes and models on show (Porsches, Jags, Minis, Austins, Lambos, Ferraris, Mercs, BMWs, Escorts, Lotus, Fords, Pugs, Citroens etc etc) there is plenty of European eye candy to drool over as well as shit hot Volkswagens.

Well its on again next year on Sunday the 11th February 2007.

Der Neuburg Volks Klub are calling to arms all VWs from all over, watever u drive, show cars or beater dailys. Come join us celebrate the Volkswagen amongst its peers in beautiful New Lambton Park in Newcastle.

Like last year we should meet at the Knights Football Stadium on Turton Road New Lambton between 8 and 9am for the big convoy into the show.

We ask all the other VW clubs and groups to tell ur members now, pencil it in ur diaries, put it up on ur websites and DONT put a cruise on the same day, make the cruise to Newcastle instead!

We would like to make a weekend of it so we can book a caravan park again like last year, if your interested please email me at dnvk@hotmail.com to make a booking.

Well Ive given you all over 2 months to prepare for the big day, enough time to get the wife and kids on side, broken cars on the road, get out of working that sunday shift, to save up for petrol to cruise to newcastle (yes, its only 1.5 hours on the F3 Sydney!!!) and watever other lame excuses i keep hearing about why people dont participate on cruises. lets make this the biggest one yet!

regards
sam

Yes mine's only been out once this year as well, she will be good for Euro Day.
Except for BUZ he gets driven everyday to work.

Not sure if I should be posting this, but here goes.
I too will be at the Euro day, but not in my beetle.
I have another car club life, and in that capacity I'll be driving my '58 Triumph TR3A.
For those too young to know, Triumph built great affordable sports cars in the 50's and early 60's.
My TR's name is Winston, he's red (of course) and I'd be glad to catch up with you guys up there on the day. I'll be there around 10.00 and will have to leave by 2.00.
