Type 3 Dash - how do you remove the chrome trim?

Having the dash reskinned on the Fasty and need to remove it of course. How's the chrome trim removed without damaging it?

I have had a look at this in my '65 and there are little springy lugs that push into holes on the dash, so to remove it you gently pull it way from the dash. Start at one end on a small section and you should see what i mean.

Brad, it should just come off if you use that trim clip remover, you know the one.
If that dosen't work use a claw hammer LOL
Who's reskinning it?

use a pair of long nose pliers to squeeze the clips on the inside
