you have malware

spybot search and destroy or other should help

I highly recommend Spyware Doctor over and above anything... it hasn't let me down yet! :tu:

Try microsoft update.
I have no protection and even protected when looking at the porn.
No crashes for over a year.

I've always used Symantec anti virus software with good results...
Only time i got a virus was when the last edition expired..

i use mc afee and its great it allways updates itself and virtually runs your computer ,its great

frenzix - December 23rd, 2006 at 06:51 PM

4 simple things. AVG Free, like helbus said, Zonealarm Free, Spyware Dr like the schmobugger said, and keep windows updated..along with all those programs. If you do that then you can't go too wrong.

helbus - December 23rd, 2006 at 07:13 PM

Eggsactly. AVG Free, Zonealarm Free, Spyware Dr. I have all of these, and only these, all free online.

pod - December 23rd, 2006 at 07:24 PM

i use symantec (free) on a couple of our comps and mccaffee(free) on the other 2 as the free symantec has used up its year but as they say its not what you know its who ,plus i use spybot and adaware, did use zonealarm before nortons came in an all in one package:starhit:

is this the time to ask Santa for a Mac and never worry about it again...Zone Alarm...and make sure you install and get it running before you hook up the modem. You can also try a start up manager from CNET for FREE - handy to disable things that like to run when you start up and never notice.
