Your Rights???

A mate of mine looked at a car! done a deal! left a deposit! He rings owner a couple of days later to arrange pickup only to be told car is no longer for sale and to pick up deposit !! What do you do ???? car was advertised for sale so must have been for sale!!!! So what changes after hand shakes and deposit ??? What do you do?? what are his rights??

if you have a receipt with the deposit, the details of the car and then a balance with a payment agreement, then it's a contract. However, it will cost you money to chase it. Thats where the law sucks. There will be another one round the corner.

undersold.. not a nice feeling.. happens often and even on here as of late..
just beware and always take all the cash and do the deal and take it then n there then no matter what.. youve got it!
