Unfortunately my Superbug is white, a colour I least like, but it's in good shape and that's the most important thing.
While searching the various VW sites I've noticed lots of Beetles, mostly older ones with two-tone colour schemes. With the section from the
rear wing to the front down painted a different colour to the rest of the car.
I kind of like this idea, but would it look okay if a dark colour was painted in this section and the rest of the car is left white? Or is it better
the other way round?
Are there any pics of Super Bugs painted like this? What are your opinions?
Also I’m finding it hard to find a suitable radio to go in my bug, all of the 80’s style ones are too big, does anyone know where I could buy a
original style radio?
.
here's a few with the bottom colour changed....
come summer you will be very appreciative of a white roof!
The choice is yours
Hard to make up yr mind... no i have not seen any late models done this way
heres a pics of my 56 Oval
My '69 is also white, arctic white to be exact ,the whitest of whites. Have you ever thought of some subtle graphics to break up the white ? White is a good colour especially if you have a nice set of chromeys. I've gone white powder coated wheels with chrome caps and dress rims avatar doesn't do it justice.
post a bigger side shot and a few people might photoshop something for you...
as i say to everyone ... slap some flames on it!
slamming doesn't hurt either.:thumb:thumb
Thanks for your suggestions.
I think black on the bottom would look good; it would match my black bumpers.
vw54 your oval looks awesome. I love the eyelids.

yeah 72... tonning is a bit of an art
I would reverse your scheme try it see what it looks like
Paint the bars, n remove the wheels trims... lowee front end
NO FLAMES dosent suit
The black panel on the door doesn't do it for me. It looks odd.
Darker colours seem to wok better on the body?
I like the second pic of the grey/green and white, and it's a bit different.
