This Sunday! Calamvale Pub...Brisbane....

Hey Brisbanites,

vw meet at the calamvale pub this sunday morning....8.00am ish..No swap meet, Just hang out and watch a couple of sunday drivers turn up.....Splitties, ghias, beetles, dust off the old girl, crank her over and blow out the cob webbs....the earlier the car the better....

oh and Makkkas is next door, let us see how many vws we can get through the drive through.....hmmm

John from Volksworld has organised for some of us vw clowns to turn up, lets see what sleeping volksies are in brisssy...

Did not know about the swap at redcliffe, not sure what is going on at the calamvale pub but after the swap at redcliffe would be good for a pitstop......pat what time do you get up for a swap? go to go early man....zsolt...

I am going to try and dig out the splitty,

she has been layed up with the old gear box popping 4th for some time...but with some much appreciated help from leons at leons motors he rebuilt me a bignut box to go in....man she is running sweet so I hope to take her for a good run on sunday...has been a long time in the making......cheers.zsolt..

h, we broke something....not a crank....but fiona broke a finger helping me move an extendable table down at my dad's....we spent most of the day over at the wesley hospital....I had planned to be there, but this came up...fiona is alriight....cheers..zsolt...oh and I had the splitty all cranked up and running great...catch up soon..

throttle spring broke, engine overrevved, now makes nasty nosies - klunk,bang,grind and no power. poor old 40 horse finally died:( (oil light has been coming on when hot off the highway for about a year now) racq towtruck home. have fixed the sth african (new axle,rear brakes and wheel bearings and seal kits) so still beetling along. new heart being built for the 61, so all good.:tu:
