Col

That will be good cause most of us in Sydney will be leaving on Friday morning around 4.00 am... which puts us into Nambucca about 11.00 or so.

this means with you arriving the day before the BEER should be Icy cold, by the time we arrive.

Guy_H - May 12th, 2003 at 08:22 AM

Dave, we need some one to drive the beer truck, its all gassed up now & keeps the beer at an even 3 degrees C. its a little slow on the highway....

VW Spectacular details here

XXX-1.8T - May 12th, 2003 at 01:43 PM

Time wise how far is it from Sydney, would we have to spend the night?

Costa...

squizy - May 12th, 2003 at 01:49 PM

Costa,

It's about a 6 hour drive to Nambucca. Usually most Sydney based clubs leave on the Friday morning. Spend the Friday night catching up, and cleaning off the bugs [sorry :D], preparing for the Saturday cruise from Valla Park into Nambucca. If you haven't done it before, it's the highlight of the weekend. Saturday afternoon is racing at Raleigh [usually]. Sunday is the car show at Valla Park, and then people will either drive back afterwards, or stay Sunday night too.

It's a great weekend, and the location is such that if you want to, you can get away from VW's too for a few hours.

Cheers....

Hi Guy,
Kool truck.... :)
Coming up to your open day next month, and bringing a girl friend who owns a new white Beetle. She is looking for accessories for it. Have you got anything she would be interested in, & is it worth her time to come up? Let me know...

Thanks for the interest people, but this post is about the cruise up from Melbourne, not about the VW Spectacular in general, so how about you all post the chit chat somewhere else? I'd really like to only hear from people interested in joining us for the trip up. :)

Guy_H - May 12th, 2003 at 05:29 PM

Hey you two - hope all is going well down there.

See Paul - he will do a good deal on all the New Beetle stuff for you.

Sorry, I will be at Bad Camberg in Germany!

Oops - now off topic
