I thought I would tell you all about a little luck that came my way on the weekend.

I went up to the Hunter Valley to go to the INXS concert (Great Concert by the way) I thought it would be good to see if the old Cessnock Wreckers was still around, I had been there years ago and they had a Beetle with a full set of 4 VW Mudflaps, but I never took them???

I called past and the place was empty, even the yard, then on the way home on Sunday I called past and there were some people loading scrap metal onto a flat bed. I called in and noticed a solid Sunvisor for a 6 Volt Beetle, there was also another pile of Sunvisors off other models. Long and the Short of it, I walked out of there with a NOS (my 3 favourite letters in the alphabet) Type 3 Mesh Sunvisor, 2 x 6 Volt Beetle Solid Sunvisors and another Type 3 solid Sunvisor. He also had a couple of boxes of service parts including sump kits (handy) a couple of exhaust clamp kits, Oil Pump, Valves, Guides, Seals etc.

Just want you all to have some hope out there, be polite and willing to hand over the cash, and the parts might just keep coming. I wish the owner all the best in the future as he has been in the game a loooong time and really is the passing of an era. One more old wrecker bites the dust.
