OvalGlen - May 10th, 2003 at 10:29 PM

Well worth the trip..
There were Excellent cars there and even a few nice Porsches as well.
The Beetles were " On Song " Flying down the Main Straight.
Was a Good Day.
Thanks for letting us know about it Guys.

Craig Torrens - May 10th, 2003 at 10:58 PM

Rudy runs a Stan Pobjoy "steriods" 1916, runs group 7 super sprints ( I think). Looks like everybody had a good day.:thumb
Not many cars, is this usual ?

jakriz - May 11th, 2003 at 06:52 AM

Correction Craig, Rudy runs a 'Rudy ' motor, Stan flycut some CNC 044's for big compression for him, thats it, Rudy builds his own motors.
Not many competitors? I think there were 70 all up with 5 VW's, I'm estatic, I've been racing solo for the last 4 years, all my Xmas' came at once today! I'm still grinning!!!!!
regards
Jak

Che Castro - May 11th, 2003 at 11:40 AM

hehe i heard u couldnt sleep the night before jak :)

very fun day especially seeing the 928 get passed by Jak, CT and Paul :D

Or when rudy overtook the skyline :D

Also got a quick go in Pete's 356 Speedster replica... very sweet car :) thanks pete.

They didnt allow passengers so a couple of us were disappointed :( Anyway thats all the more reason to get my car on the track :) To get an indication of how fast everyone else was, i was timing lap times from where i was watching. These are approximate times:

R32 Skyline GTS-T (near stock) 55sec
Mazda 323 Turbo AWD 56sec
Subaru WRX wagon 58sec
70's 911 52sec
Hottie Porsche 914-6 48sec
Porsche GT2/3 46-47sec (damn they were fast!)
Porsche Boxster 53sec
