That is very cool, I like.
Although I personally would love a roof chop on that sucker, I too think it is very cool indeed!
There was someone down in the Vic country side who was doing these a few years ago... i think there was about 6 done at the time from Origional 54 bodies
Would like to see one in person.
That was the only coupe made by Resurection Panels here in Bendigo, all the others were Heb's.
I recently recieved an enquiry to the WA VW Club about Hebmuller replicas being made in Australia by Chris and Kay Nihill in about 1987. The enquiry
came from France.
If anyone knows anything about the Nihills and their relationship to Hebmullers please post it here and also tell Don of http://beetle.cabriolets.online.fr or by emailing him at
beetle.cabriolets@online.fr
I have already sent him the link to the pictures on this thread.
Thank you.

My family knows the Nihills, They no longer want anything to do with VWs and are not interested in doing any more Heb's or Cab's.
Thanks, Rhett.
From Jase........
Ok heres some more pics
It a replica built in our home town in the 90s it travelled all over the country side before falling into my lap only recently when the shell was
offered to me in exchange for some work needed.........yes please!
As far as a replica goes its actually very accurate to the origina re-enforcing roof line etc. The only notable difference is the swage line that
travels along the drip rail and then around under the rear window which i wouldn't do as it looks a bit naff. The meta work that has gone into this
is unbeleivable. The roof has been sectioned into about a dozwn pieces from a Wolsley. Still have some special plans for it before its finished. Paint
is very ordinary as it was rushed for a show and assembled while paint was still wet.
And as a comparisson

Is this car still around?
Just out of curiosity, how do you know the Nihills?
There was an article on the Nihills and their company Resurrection Panels in the February 1996 issue of the Uk magazine Safer Motoring (or VW
Motoring, as it was called by then).
We reproduced this article in the June 2008 issue of the Club VW magazine Zeitschrift. You can download and read the article here (go to page 32)

Did the same people do a cabrio replica?
Yes the car is still around,
I still have regular contact with the Nihills (they work at the business next door)
Yes its the same company that did the cabrio replicas
