ohh bad luck Ray, was a great day....

i went up through Nana Gleen, along the back way for the first time. no traffic and nice road.

looks like Heath has raised his suspension..........as well as soften up the car.

Man they are some good shots. And yes it is Christine driving the beetle (car 681). Dumone, you didnt get any video of my car over the w/e did you?.

An excellent w/e was had by all. It was a competitive day with ony a few tenths seperating all drivers in the class (including some quick escorts from qld). On a couple of runs there was only a couple of 100ths seperating the beetles. A full update will be in the next issue of vwma.

As for Heath going faster, congratulations to Heath for his 2nd in class. Heath has really got his car cracking and its a credit to him. I suppose Brian you cant win all the time, that would be very boring.

Greg has been working a lot overseas over the past 2 and 1/2 years do what ever he does so, he hasnt had much chance to get to the track. I think he has spent more time in Asian then what he has in Australia over the past year or so. He was intending on doing this event but unfortuanltey caught some 3rd world disease whist in asian and ended up with phenomena (btw his back on the mend). He is planning on doing some drags this year and the Australian hillclimb championship at Mt Cotton Qld (time permitting).
