Is anyone else having dramas with their internet? Mine has been as slow as for a couple of days, pages have been taking ages to load (as in 3-4mins) &
some wont load pictures etc.
Has something put the handbrake on or knocked it into neutral?
Cheers
Brendan

Your line speed is 39 kbps (0.04 Mbps).
Your download speed is 5 KB/s (0 MB/s).
What does this mean? I'm on 512 broadband.
The first time I followed the link above it took 40 minutes for internet explorer to decide it could not display the webpage.
the second time I got the results above.
Cheers
Brendan
I would say you have a line fault. 512 should give you about 64kB/s. Is your account shaped after a set limit?

Log into your account on your isp site and check your usage, if it's not maxed out contact your provider
As if by mmagic my internet is now running at what seems like full speed, are you sure you werent squeezing the cable so the bytes couldnt get
through?

I think telstra's screwing with me since i've changed to there new billing system.
FFFFFAAAAAAARRRRRRKKKKKKKKK and I thought my dialup was a bit tardy but it sure beats the crap out of those times --most of the time. I'd have to guess equipment or line faults.

Trojans or spyware could be using up all your bandwidth and system resources.
Make sure you have antivirus and it is up to date. Keep resident protection and automatic updates on so any viruses are detected ASAP.
If your antivirus isn't up to date or you don't have one installed I suggest you install & update as necessary and then do a full system scan.
There are many freeware antivirus programs available. I am currently using avast. Google it.
Aparently there has been line work / upgrades going on.

Here is a decent tweak for anyone of you guys running Firefox , speeds up the load time on the pages by a considerable amount.
