Its on again. Got my entry in early this year so hopefully I may get in the HSBC start and not have to deal with so many walkers. Determind to beat
100 minutes, Ive ran 101 for 2 years. Only this time I am probably the least fit I have been so not confident... which means I'll probably go better
since I wont kill myself in the first 7 kms.
Any one else going in it? Its hard work but a pretty good feeling at the end when you reach the goal.
I wont be there but its one of those things I want to do eventually. I have never really been fit at that time of year, might pencil it in for next
year. The only thing I dont really like the idea of is wading through all the bodies at the start.
Best of luck sith breaking the 100mins.
Cheers
Brendan
:jesus man wtf!!
so quick how u forget how u nearly died last year doin that thing..
crikey take up knitting yeah..
We've just signed up for the Bridge2Brisbane.....doing the walk this year.....see about the run next year....LOL
Would love to do it Chris, but you've seen my body.......not too sure it would make it!!
I dont think you need to be that fit, just bloody determined. You can run 10km and still see some pretty big people and plenty of older people. A bit
rude that is.
2 years ago on the train going up there I was sitting opposite a 76 yr old woman. She had ran in every one of them, that was the first year she
decided she would just walk it. If you go round telling everyone you are doing it, you cant go back to work a failure, so you will finish. I did the
same thing with bungee jumping. To chicken out would have been easy but going back to work would have meant ridicule. I think that 76 yr old woman
probably passed me before the first km marker, even though I was 'running'.
What you have to do is spot a girl with a nice bum in lycra shorts and slipstream her as far as you can. Works for me
