hey
we need some info on some famous designers so im doin Volkswagen designers preferbably the older VW's (pre '79)
anyone got any sites etc or book write ups?

J Mays and Freeman Thomas. They did the New Beetle. :)

Both J Mays and Freeman Thomas have moved elsewhere, but they have produced some of the world's must have cars before and after this. Like the TT, GT40, Thunderbird, etc.

J Mays has a much higher profile despite his one letter name.

I think Freeman Thomas is the better designer - he did the 959, TT, and a few others.
