Who sells 135/15" tyres in sydney? need them for a lowered bug.
What is the lowest profile in that size available?
my local tyre guy says "cant get em".
I have been told by others they are available.
Do 125's exist? Looking for the lowest profile possible

nankang do a 135/80 r15
http://www.nankangtyres.com.au/prodDetail.php?pid=12
80 profile is 110mm sidewall, still a bit too tall.
I wonder if they do a 40 or 45 profile???
that would be a tiny sidewall for a skinny tyre, the 135R15 that Nangkang do which are the ones mentioned above I think, are fine for lowered bugs,
its what everyone runs, unless u are mega low then the conti's are the go!
I think the 125 is a michellin(sp).
or go the 145/65/15 Conti Smart tyres, but its a whole different look, more modern less vintage!
How low is this car and what look do you want?

I had a pair of Michelin 135/15s. They were too chunky so I got rid of them. I went for a 145/65/15 Bridgestone b340. they also do wider tyres in the
same pattern.
125s do exist and are commonly used as spare wheel spacesavers. they dont recommend you do over 80kmh with them.
Early Citeron's had 125 and 135s as standard
Can supply Michi's or Nankangs in 135's. In Melbourne though.

Space savers are a $500+ tyre according to Bob Jane and Discount Tyres.
I run Nankang 145/65/15 with no problems.
i run 125 michelin tyres on the front of my bug and have had no problems with them. They are a full rated tyre and are not speed limited like the space saver tyres, (though they are a tad dear) the local tyrepower outlet got them in for a mate of mines rod and he never used them. Phil
I have the 135's mich on 4.5 rims up front of the KG, there OK but I wouldn't want to stop in a hurry.
I also have the 145 Cont'ies on 5.5 gasburners, they have a lot more tyre on the road and a lower profile.
your choice dude.
All bought here in Melburg
Any tyre place should be able to get you in a set of 135 Nangkangs. If they can't they're too lazy. If in doubt, contact Gateway tyres at East Gosford - they have always got them in for me. About $90 a tyre.
135s? Cheap as chips, and work well with drop spindles on a standard King&Link Beetle. Beaurepairs in Qld (and I'm sure other states) has Nangkangs for $85. Collected a pair last week, put them on the Beetle 2.5" drop spindles and they work a treat.

Hi
Not wanting to be a wet blanket, but are you aware that fitting tyres smaller that those originally specified for you car is illegal.
From the NSW RTA, "Front wheels. The lesser of each front wheel shall be:
i) no wider than the maximum permitted for rear wheels on your vehicle or 204mm;
ii) no narrower than 70% of that fitted to the rear wheels; and
iii) no narrower than a standard wheel fitted to the your vehicle as original equipment."
and "The outside diameter of the wheel and tyre combination must be no more than 15mm over the largest diameter wheel and tyre combination specified
for the vehicle and not more than 15mm below the smallest diameter wheel and tyre combination specified for the vehicle."
Steve
thats mainly for insurance purposes
ive got a set of 18" chrome zepters under the house (that i need to sell if anyones interested) that i had on my bug a few years ago and i got pulled
up by the cops who were picking on all the boy racers that night and all they could get me for was excessive exhaust noise LOL
