Please advice regarding narrowed balljoint beam.

Please advice regarding narrowed balljoint beam. How many inches of the beam can i take off without cutting anything of the body or modifying the chasis?

3.5 -- 4 inches..

I had my ragtop beam narrowed 80mm which is just over 3 inches. I had a 63 body on the later pan and had to "massage" the inner fender area in with a BFH (big f'ken hammer) for clearance. Didn't need to go in much but it wouldn't have fitted otherwise.

Here is my narrowed beam before painting it, but after "clearancing" the body

My 54 has a 2.5" Narrowed beam and it is very close. My look at doing the same as DAS with my BFH.

2.5" per side? or total? Mind is a 62 body on a 68 pan.

now.....anyone have a narrowed balljoint beam for sale ready to go? 2.5" of course. I am assuming i don't need anything else to fit a narrowed 2.5" beam. Please let me now if i am wrong.
