hehe, not actually banned, there was a fair bit of talk about it when it first hit the net, the company that does vw advertising produced it independantly as a bit of a marketing stunt at the same time as producing the actual add for the car. pretty damn funny tho.

Don't laugh dogo but an ad was banned in the UK with a car driving beside fields of sugar cane as the sugar cane exploded into flames and the reason
was (and I'm serious here!) that "people would believe they could drive these cars through fire!". I can't remember if it was a VW or not and the
ad was made in Australia but honestly maybe you should let people think that then at least they'd be out of the gene pool
