It's funny how I have to leave Victoria to get rained on
vanderaj - May 14th, 2003 at 11:36 PM

It's funny how you have to go to Queensland to get rained on properly. The rain outside my hotel window is just staggering and has not let up since I got here.

If anyone is around the Gold Coast tomorrow from lunch time onwards or in Coolangatta around 4 pm onwards to 5.15 pm, come by Royal Pines then the airport. 0412 532 963. I'm doing my preso in the morning so it'll be off then.

I need consoling as I can't figure out if this is a perfect day or a beautiful one. :)

Its amazing how much shiat we cop for all the rain we "get" in Melbourne, but yet the states that bag us about it seem to be amongst the rain all the time!

PS hope everyone in Sydney is fine after the floods!:(

Cheers N!

Like its not raining in Sydney Andrew?
:)
the floods are fairly localised & in the normal area's they always occur,
on TV it looked like the whole of Sydney is soon to have it's name changed to Atlantis

Although I lived in Sydney for two years, I have lived in Melbourne most of my life.

It's finally given up raining. Humid though.

Nectar,

A couple of years ago during our Giardia and Chriptosporidium outbreak in Sydney, there was a major gas problem in Melbourne, where no households had gas for a number of days....meaning no cooking, heating etc.

A Melbourne friend took great joy taking the p1ss out of me for our water problem, while I stirred them back in their inability to cook a meal and keep warm.

Obviously it wasn't that big a news story up here....:o

I remember that! It was in '98, I had just got back from Europe (where the water presure has a lot to be desired!!!) And B4 I could even get home from the Airport, there was no gas cause of a massive explosion at Cude Island (spelling?) No gas for a while, but heaps of ppl have electric hot water, and ovens so it was ok for them! NOT FOR ME THOUGHT!!!!

I look back and Laugh! N!:thumb
