Total LA mind spin

I've just had 24 hours in LA - and what a spin out it was. Once I landed I headed up to West Hollywood onto West Sunset, and popped into a few clubs.
Whisky a Go Go, The Viper Room....but the spin of the night was at the Cat Club next door to the WaGG. Crowd would have been about 50 people - maybe
not even that. I was sitting watching some LA punk, then after that some band called the Starf@ckers played...lo and behold they had Dizzy Reed from
GnR playing for them. The biggest spin was yet to come....after they played for about 40 mins, Andy Dick stumbles up onto stage and starts to join in
the singing. He was totally pee'd off his face and kept on going back onto stage. It was a totally surreal night....the only problem....not ONE
decent dub in sight!!!!

nice one squizy,the strip sure can be a bizarre place,la was where i swang into oz from i was living in the venice area...lax airport is probably THE
worst airport out there in my book,
when i was waiting to board the quantas flight to oz in 05
who should walk straight past me...it was ozzy & sharon...no bull, the prince of darkness himself....
by the way i passed you on pennant hills road the other week in me works van,did put me hand up,you had a 'who the hell is that' look on yer face at

however if you go into a service station you can puchase a 6 pack of beer for about the same price as a 6 pack of Coke

I'm leaving for LA in 5 days, I'm looking forward to checking out some stange stuff, hopefully see some celebs doing things and some sick dubs too,
do a bit of clubbing, sightseeing etc.....then off to Vegas for a week aswell, hope to see the same there too! It sucks though the MTV VMA's are on
in vegas when I'm in LA and the Emmy's are on in LA when I'm in Vegas....got my weeks crossed up for celeb spotting....bah nevermind!

12 pack of import beer about $12
plenty of beers over 6% alc too... Molson XXX (canadian) is 8%
the domestic light beers (lo carb) are slightly lower in alc, but most of them are $14-16 for a 30 pack.
Beer is WAY cheaper here than in OZ.

Well as a 24 hour expert, hit West Hollywood after dark on Sunset Blvd and go to the places I mentioned.

my advise, having lived in both cities, is, if you wanna hit someone special/exclusive - is to phone during the afternoon if you're going there that
night or even that weekend. Get your name on the door early, lie, exagurate, do whatever you think is right to get your group into the place, but its
always better than just rockin up and expecting to get in. especially if its a "celeb" night... phoning ahead and saying you're in town with a
small group of friends "doing a car photo shoot" for :eg and just hoping that they could put you, the photographer and the producer down on the door
so theres no "embarassment" at the door" later - it works wonders - still be presentable, friendly when you rock up and the velvet rope will get
lifted for you - its how it works over there....
