In short in the forum in question looses that case I think you will find a lot of furums will close down ...

Been there done that. Simple legal change was found. Forum is now hosted in the US, with an American "admin". Water tight laws protect all but the actual poster of defamatory material - but the Admin also can't be compelled to provide the identity of a poster.

After an attempt at suing a dozen members of annother forum of which I am a member this change was made.

well as we appeare to be hosted at QUANTUM TECH PTY LTD in Sydney it will be worth watching the outcome

I will be watching that just like everyone else Brad.. this topic is always concerning.

I believe that the company involved has now dropped legal action against the forum involved.
