at my nans we also found this 70s newspaper wrapped around something:

That's a beauty hewey.

I have a green one just like it, It was under dad's workbench in the shed when I was a kid. I used it for all my secret stuff. I left home and I was away until I was in my 50s. When I got back home to look after dad in his dotage, it was still there. It's now in my own shed with all my used VW spare parts in it.

It's old and battered, but I consider it to be one of my more valuable possessions.

You are very lucky to have one in such good condition.
