Hi, just wondering if anyone can tell me what year model my bug is. I just bought it last week. Type/model #: 114021. Chassis #: 1102508057. Engine #: F1933475. I have the original VW Service Record book and thats where I got these numbers form. There is an original purchase date but its written quite weird as 0.8.0! Not sure if its 8th month 1970? Hopefully someone can help me. Thanks, Tracy.

F for engine no. should be 1300 made up to 7/07.
110 starting chassis no. should mean beetle sedan made from Aug '69 to July 1970.
This may agree with a sales date of Aug 1970.
There should be a small Alum. compliance plate near spare wheel showing official manuf. date as Month/Year (as well as chassis no.)
It's worth checking the numbers match with the actual ones on the engine, and chassis -- under rear seat.
