Congratulations great to hear everyone is doing well
Way to go Rod and Trace, and welcome Miss Emma. No doubt she'll be in the NIC at the moment, so hopefully she'll be out of there soon. Good to see that the baby seat you bought so long ago will now get some use!
thanks all for the well wishes.
Emma is doing really well.. she was in the special care nursery for a few days, they removed the monitors from her yesterday morning and were
transferring her last night to a lower risk room.
Tracey is going well also - just really tired and sore after the ceaser, hopefully will be home on thusday or friday. Were told last night that Emma
may be transferred to a local hospital near us for convenience when Tracey comes out of hospital.
Still in a state of shock/confusion/tiredness etc... cant believe she is finally here, but rapt at the same time.
haha... baby seat in the cabrio.. could just picture it. :thumb
and no i haven't got a car ready to restore for her ... yet... lol... too busy with our own so far. still have to do my oval but that can take a
side step for the time being.
Thanks again guys for all the well wishes and will pass them on to Tracey and Emma.
Well done to all of you!
Thanks for all the well wishes!!!! I am now home but Emma remains in hospital. She will be transferred tonight to the special care nursery at our local hospital for prob 3 to 4 weeks depending upon how well she develops. So far so good, she is doing well. As for 7 weeks prem being scary, yes I would have thought so, but in compairson to some of the 23 - 24 week gestation babies in the hospital she is one mighty big kid!!!! It is amazing how some of these little ones survive
Hey Trace - you legend. All Mum's are very clever. Giselle was also 7 weeks prem and was 7lb. Thank goodness she didn't go full term!
So are you going in at night for feeds or filling up the petrol bowsers in the daytime?? lol
Congrats, great to hear everything is going so well, start looking for VW pedal car to restore wonderful what they can do for premmie babies now, our 1st child was 2 months premature, & that was 21 years ago, things were touch & go for a while & we still go to tears when we see a baby in a humidicrib , evrything has changed now though & I am sure you have a wonderful future ahead of you.
Huge congrats to you Tracey and Rod! :kiss I want to see some pics soon, I'm sure Emma is a little cutie!
My little bro was 8 weeks prem, and he's now 14 and almost 6ft tall..... I was about 8 or 9 weeks prem, and would love to say I'm almost 6ft tall
but we all know I'd be lying. Good things come in small packages!
Congratulations MrBluTopless and MsCabrio!
There's something definitely in the water. We're also pregnant, and due in December 25.
Here's hoping Emma is coping well with being a bit early!
Andrew
Emma is doing great... she has gained some weight and is almost back to her birth weight. she's also out of the incubator cot and into a normal one
as she has control of her own temperature now.
here's some pics.
first one's a bit crappy as it is a photo of a photo...
but this is Emma a few minutes old.
next day....
something amusing??
proud mum.
Emma's just complaining about Mum's stinky armpit! Poor little bubba with the feeding tube. Mum looks great!
So glad to hear of the safe arrival.
Tracey you must be very relieved that everything is ok.
Much love from J and Mal!!! (No more staying awake on Spirit of Tassie all night for you, you can be kept awake in your own home soon!!)
Congrats Trac & Rob,
Dont worry to much about how premmie she is. My grandaughter was 24 weeks prem, and she is now doing fine and home with mum after 10weeks in
hospital. Its amazing how much these young girls can fight.
She looks wonderful.
Cheers
Donna
Sorry about not congrats before, but have been super busy (and away...lol)
thanks all.. emma is doing well... got a virus at the mo so a little sniffly but not bad enough to have antibiotics..
a few more weeks and she'll be home with us.
I gather trace is over the moon. I remember how much she was looking forward to becoming a mum. I bet even the sleepless nights ahead of u both are
lke a dream come true for u both
yeah we are both pretty rapt in it all... bit depressing that emma has to be in hospital for a few more weeks before coming home... but she's doing
well and that's the main thing.
sleepness nights started for us a few weeks ago so in the groove now... lol.
cant believe she's already two weeks old..
Congratulations Trace and Rob!!! :sandrine
WOW fantastic news, we didn't know you were expecting...shows how out of contact we are with everyone lately
Was at Aussie VW this morning picking Dr L up from his service and gave Ingrid the news, she was rapt for you both and went all gooey, as women do
:-)
