what size is my engine and how do i tell?

hey i need to know what size my engine is 1500 or 1600.. the car says its a 1500 but im not sure if its been changed.. can anyone tell by the engine number??
the number is F1099254
any help would be good thanks

the engine number will tell you what it started off as but it could of been rebuilt since then with bigger pistons

oh ok would that make any diff to getting a cluch kit?
im going to get one tomorrow and the old man said i needed to know what the engine size is

its either a 1300 or 1600 with the f prefix:spin:

oh so its not the 1500 like the badge says then.. is there aby way i can tell if it is the 1300 or 1600?

you have to measure the bores of the barrels, and to do that its a motor out and heads off job

bugger.. well i guess i haveto take it out anyway to do the cluch and front engine mount so i guess ill be doing that before i go buy the cluch kit then .. thanks heaps :) what would i do with out the help of you guys here :rolleyes:

you could just measure the clutch mate and get one thats the same size
