Wow.. that really is stupid!
I feel sorry for the buyer if its for real.. cause they got totally ripped off!

kombibob - November 1st, 2007 at 08:58 PM

Plenty of pics there to show how much work was needed... certainly didnt hide anything.

All smells a bit suss to me:rolleyes:

jo_tas - November 1st, 2007 at 09:04 PM

Well true.. if the buyer was stupid enough to not look around and see what kombi's are really worth they deserve to get ripped off!

VWCOOL - November 1st, 2007 at 09:09 PM

Rip off? Nope. If you can't pay, you can't play. Simple...

edit: it's an auction!

aparently the buyer was a serious buyer and has been in contact with the seller who told him he had paid way to much so they renegotiated a new price wich they were both happy with

yea i have the 2.4, and i must say, for a van its got alot of grunt !

before the '07 model, i drove a '86 (i think) mitsu express, and dear god it was like driving a dead elephant, hard to steer, hard to clutch, no acceleration and took an age to start.

the only problem i have with my '07 is because the clutch is power assisted, i cant feel whats happening through the pedal, and feel im riding the clutch more than if it was a mechanical linkage.

Wild1 - November 14th, 2007 at 10:12 PM

but if you look at the bidding
http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=150174604600
one bidder puts in 6 consecutive bids over himself??

am i reading this right!?

donn - November 14th, 2007 at 10:55 PM

Not realy sure how it works but as I understand it the consecutive bids are because another bidder placed a bid which was not up to the maximum of the first bidder. ie bid is up to $100, bidder 1, and will increase in $2 incraments, next bidder (2) bids to a maximum of $300 so the bid automaticaly progresses to $102 then a third bidder, bidder 3, comes on the scene and bids to a maximum of $250, still under the max of bidder 2 so bid automaticaly progresses to $252 that showes up as bidder 2 outbiding himself and so it goes on. Reasonably sure this is how it works but if someone out there in ciber land knows differently then I would be happy to learn more

ratty 63 - November 15th, 2007 at 12:35 PM

Wow, now I know I'm guilty of buying cars that some work to be done .... but i've never even considered paying anything like that.

Good luck to the purchaser - I think that you will probably need it by the look of some of those pics...
