Damn it! my sister was driving along in the right hand lane on a not too busy road today with her right blinker on about to turn right, she starts to
make the turn adn some idiot blindsides her! some idion has decided to overtake a car that is slowing with its right blinker on, on the righthand side
(so on the wrong side of the road) and has got his timing completely wrong, so my sister (who admittedly possibly should have seen this moron in her
blindspot on the wrong side of the road) has started to take the turn and they have cleaned each other up. thankfully there was no injuries, except
her poor little laser. I will admit i am not the biggest fan of the car (it is a gutless mid 80s 3spd auto front wheel drive, not my cup of tea) but
it was in near immaculate condition, 140,000km, in our family from new, and the accident has mangled the drivers guard and the inner guard, pushed the
bonnet across a couple of inches, along with the headlight (indicator is no longer with us) and the whole impact was hard enough to push the front
guard ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CAR back so that the passenger door no longer opens properly. since these things are worth nothing anymore it will
almost certainly be a write-off, which really sucks because it has been an unstoppable little car.
why would you overtake on the right a vehicle that is turning right!? luckily there were several eye witnesses so atleast he wont be getting away with
it.
Just this afternoon I was sitting in my brand new golf at the lights, my old man was driving, he had his foot on the brake and some asian woman bumps
me from behind and then tries to tell me that I rolled back....
would want to make sure that her rear drivers indicator was in fact working.

I saw an accident the other day at Edgeworth near Newcastle.
No VW's involved but a couple of clowns (Mid's 20's) thought there would be plenty of opportunity to pass on the inside of a semi while it was
going through a round-a-bout.
Semi and Trailer 1 - VN Crumpledoor 0.
The guys were out of the car with the trailer of the truck parked on it bonnet and they were furious trying to get the truck driver to come out of his
cab. He'd locked himself into the truck and for good reason wasn't going anywhere.
Was a very funny sight and if I had a camera one I would have loved to had captured on film (or card as the case may be now a days).
Needless to say I reckon the owner probably has learnt from his mistake.

Lucky no one gets hurt from vehicle altercations... either from the bingle itself or from the idiots in other cars!
Eden had a bingle not far from his old house a while back, wasn't his fault... the other guy ended up headbutting him when getting license details!!
Eden ended up with a cut on his forehead and it's still an ongoing saga... I think Eden had to issue a statement last week for something-or-other as
the idiot headbutter is getting charged with assault. :P
So yeah, no matter how calm you are you just can't tell what the other idiot will come up with.

Me and the missus have found a great way to be as accident and speed camera free as possible. No driving! Between us both we do maybe 2000km per year now. We walk, ride, train, stay home, whatever. Just keeping away from the large number of ignorant, arrogant, angry, impatient and/ or 'holier than thou' attitude drivers there are on the roads now.
good thinking, unfortunately we are a little bit further east then you, so it would be an hours walk to the train on some very steep hills. not much fun with a bag of uni books.
Telebus in your area?
Had exactly the same thing happen to me many years ago.
Unfortunately for this dickhead, my old Bedford was a lot more substantial than his falcon. Just opened it up like a tin can.
Witnesses confirmed I had my blinker on, & I drove home.
I recently nearly had a head on accident while turning right.
Imagine a wide road, two lanes each way, a wide median strip and turn off lanes on all directions.
I was turning across the traffic that was oncoming. Three cars were coming towards me with their indicators on to go left. They were facing a give way
sign on a left turn off lane, so I continued my turn to find that the last car of the three had decided not to turn left and had pulled out into the
left lane of the road to keep going. We missed each other by inches.
I drove slowly home to find that he was following me there. I stopped in my driveway, picked up the Club steering wheel lock, got out of the car, went
to my property boundary and told him to stay on public land and that if he crossed that line I would consider him to be trespasser and that I was
going to break his bones.
We shouted at each other for a while and when I pointed out to him that two of my neighbours were there as reinforcements, he and his mate drove
off.
He said that it was my fault as he had indicated his intention to not turn left and to return to the left lane of the road. I'm sure that if we had
hit, that he would still have been in the wrong.
