Nice day with plenty of people circulating.
I was really happy to see a few cars that I have only ever seen on this site.
Just a few pics

Final Lots of pics
I know my focus is Type 1's but I have to say there were some AMAZING Kombis there too.
I think the quality of the Kombi's were the highlight for me.
cheers for the pics, any more pics of the splittys?..
No sorry
I shouldnt have been so "bug" eyed.
I am sure someone else has done a proper journalistic job though!
that gold and the silver bugs have some serious engine detail. not to mention the rest of the cars.

Looks like you all had a great day and congratulations to the orginizers for there effort.
That period equiped manx looks bloody nice but a little over done and is that a modified Ascort or what ??
Yep, the Ascort has been hit with a mild lowering stick.
Wonderful day all round. Big shout outs to all involved in bringing the day together....wonderful!
Luv that Ascort. The RAT067 Beetle display is well done too.
Very nice turn out, great location on a sunny Sunday
Excellent pic's thanks for posting...!
Good stuff thanks. What is the sailing ship in the background?
Yes,
many thanks for the pics
much appreciated...

Grey 57 - Thanks for the kind words on the Boris display.
Bigfella - The ship is a floating restaurant called the Buffalo (great seafood).
68Autobug - The Ascort was a recent purchase by the owner from NSW. It has a full history (initially exported to NZ) and has had a full restoration
over recent years. Jeff has put the wheels on and has looked at the suspension a little. It is running a Porsche 356A engine. There was a full article
recently in Unique Cars. I hope to catch up with the owner soon and I will encourage him to jump on to give you the full low down.
Was a great day. My only complaint was the sunburn I got....ouch, next time I'm using sunscreen.
