What you can do to a Mini Cooper S on the weekend - NOW WITH VIDEO!!
Kuchster - December 30th, 2007 at 11:04 PM

Well, this is what I did on the weekend.

It started off with a $14.50 special at Strathfield Car Radios. I thought, Hey, it cost more to buy a model these days, and this one moves too!

Well, unfortuantly i dont have a picture of before i started, but it was quite original. Boring eh, Well then I started.

Lowered (Dont tell the police), No springs, 20" Rims as you would. Modified front chassis, where grinding took place. Tyres scrubbed on front due to lowering. Fixed.

Removable roof, extra voltage, more batteries, removal of resistors to bring more power to motor and removal of radio frequency noise shielding.
Extra glue on motor components to stop slippage.

Larger antenna, legal 10 metres? Come off it. This does about 100 now.

HID ultra high brightness front lights (LED's that is!). Definately lights up the night now. Just like when them new Hondas come at you on the other side of the road and blind your eyes.
Also included is locker diff. Standard diff didnt do it for me. Don't you just love superglue. Nice sideways on smooth floor.

Rear lights also ultra high brightness.

Cat doesn't seem too impressed. Especially when it gets rammed.

Modified remote, 100% working. Dont like them included remotes. Yes that is a SEGA joystick.

All that and about 16 hours work! It ended up having about double the power (safely and not burning it out, which was the plan to keep it working)
And, it didnt cost me anymore than what i bought it for. All the bits and pieces were laying around the house. It was fun, trust me.
