Just a heads up.

A couple of Maori Kiwi's today came around to my Grandmothers house in OXLEY, BRISBANE today to offer to do some gardening for her. Not pre-organised, just a random thing.

They said that they would charge $50 for their services.
After getting on the roof of her garage to cut done ONE branch, they came back and charged her $550 due to the hazardous conditions of hopping on the roof.

Now i am a resonable kind of guy, but C*#ts like these bloke who prey on the elderly for a quick buck make me sick.

If anyone knows of these two scum bags, or has any similar experiences, please let me know as this is takeing low to an entirly new level.

The card they left behind was for:

The guy who did the con is Joel and his number is 0421 597 296

My grandmother is over 80yrs old.
She is no longer the as sharp as she use to be.
If she remembers he sons b'days we are lucky.

My aunty was there, my Gma only had $40 to pay them and as my aunty went away to get the other $10 they conned my Gma into the "danger pay" and to make a cheque out to cash.

The Police say that they did nothing wrong.
Since they successfully conned an 80yr old into paying them, it wasn't illegal.
I have never wanted to be violent before (strange considering my occupation), but this has sent me over the edge.
Sitting here contemplating the 13hr drive to QLD to see her and wait for them to come back.

Definately get her to report it. I still find it odd that she wouldn't question it and just hand over $500 more than quoted. Or that your Aunty wouldn't have given them the 3rd degree......but yeah, pricks for doing it, scummy bastards!

Would they be leaving geuine business cards if they were doing the dodgy on people? Plus I don't think maori fellas are too friendly and usually aren't short on size or anger! So I wouldn't be getting too high or mighty on them. Try the cops again, and just make up some shit which makes them go chat to them for you first!?!?

Give consumer affairs a buzz and cops to top things off.

Cancel the cheque or pull funds out of the cheque a/c so that it is dishonoured.

Report them to the ATO and Dept of Immigration if all else fails....

They are doing the rounds I think.

I had a guy this way matching that discription last week door knowcking. He had a friend Door knocking houses across the road.

They wanted to know if we needed the trees trimmed as they do that sort of thing. I said great, but I wont be paying since its not my house. He left pretty quickly.

We're in Jindalee, stones throw from Oxley.

Why don't you ring and book them to come and trim your trees.....You know what I'm saying????

You could also try talking to them and clarify why they charged her the extra.

Find out where the local police inspector lives and book them to cut his trees down, Im sure something will be done about it then!
