Levuka Offroading for Easter weekend

Hi Peoples

The Easter weekend at Levuka Off-road Park is on again.

It starts from March 21 until March 24.The cost for the four days is $175 per car which includes all fees. If you can fit 10 people in your car legally the fees are still $175, it goes by car not people. This also allows you to arrive on Thursday afternoon and leave on Monday. Cars must be registered.

Some of us are getting there on the Wednesday 19th until Tuesday the 25th March. We pay more to do so.

They have good loos and showers, and they run events on Saturday and Saturday night where they give you a list of things to do and find while driving around the park. So bring a good torch / spotlight, pen, paper, clipboard and good sense of humour. Oh and don't forget the lollies and choccies for bribing the helpers, especially the kids!

The tracks range from easy to very hard and with this rain the mud areas will be very good. Be warned.....they do tend to dig out sections for the 4WD's to have lots of fun in.

We have booked a large area which is on high ground and a short walk from the Loos and showers.

Levuka is on the road to Warwick (please see map on website) after passing through Woodenbong, and is a short drive to Urbenville for supplies.

It takes us around 3hrs to get there taking it easy.

Robert and Rosemary are great people and go out of their way to help.

You can follow the link to the web site to find directions and more details.

http://www.levuka.com.au/

When you book let them know that you are with KlubVW Bayside.

If you arrive early, the house is on the right take the 2nd driveway to the house, pay and then they will direct you to the camping area and give you a map with all the tracks and all the things you need marked on it, which must be returned when you leave. If you arrive on the Friday, drive up past the house and you will see a gate on your left with a marque type tent. This is where you pay and get your maps.

Kathy and I will be there from Wednesday morning the 19th March.

We will be on UHF15 if you need to call us when you are arriving. Please be aware that there is virtually no mobile phone reception at this park.

If you want further info you can give me a call on 0410 920 488

Levuka is about 2and half hours from Browns Plains so you just have to add your traveling time from Noosa to this time...

Midlife crisis - January 27th, 2008 at 09:12 PM

As Dee said
just add the time to drive from Noosa to Browns plains to the 2 1/2 to get to Levuka from Browns Plains.

I did a Whereis and it says 3.5 to 4. hrs from Noosa to Urbenville

I hope this helps

Its getting closer and there is plenty of mud to play in and the rest of the park is looking good.

For those who like playing in the MUD and who doesn't!, at levuka 4WD park since the 1st of Jan they have had 570.4 mm of rain accordling to the BOM site, So there should be plenty to play in.

The good thing about this place is even with all that rain the tracks will still be very good.
