difficulties dealing with Bergs for supplying parts
Golde60 - January 28th, 2008 at 03:01 AM

is it just me, or have other people had difficulties dealing with the bergs

I cant get better than 1 email per week, and I cant get any confirmation of a purchase despite trying pretty hard.

I am after a 60% reduced throw shifter, and am close to giving up

does anyone have a friendly contact there?

I have been dealing with Kathie who has been ok, but just cant get a regular flow of email discussions going with them.....

Yes get on the phone.
Most likely no stock and she has no contol over this, and hates to be the bearer of bad news.
But a quick phone call will reveal all.

as above

no , you won't get regular emails..........sometimes after placing an order there will be no contact, but the parts will turn up on your doorstep as usual...........most times when it doesn't turn up for a couple of weeks, it's because they're out of stock.

use the phone, costs a couple of dollars for 15 minutes, phone in the morning when you get up, have the part number and your credit card ready.

worth the wait:yes:

Most businesses don't answer emails very often as computers are unreliable, spam etc.
Pick up the phone

2.7c per minute to Europe and US
Called Sweden for 1/2hr the other day and was under a $1.00

ok I get it.

have used skype before, so will do it again.

I guess I am just used to the web ordering and emails from other places.

thanks for the heads up, I was starting to get a bit worried after the lack of response, but if you guys have had good experiences with them then I will not be so worried. ta

GASBNR - January 29th, 2008 at 11:36 AM

no need for panic, just don't expect a daily update on your order via email;)

Golde60 - January 30th, 2008 at 03:46 AM

wasnt panic

just a bit worried after getting no response or confirmation after sending credit card details via email

just got of the phone (skype) now and was a bit like what you said:
