I hate to do this, but free to a good home...

Does anyone want two good cats for free? I'm over here in the USA, and my cats have worn out their welcome at my brother's place.

My original plan was to bring them over to the US, and I really want to do that, but can't. The reality with a two month old bub, a small apartment and an uncertain visa is that it doesn't make sense to spend nearly $4000 to get them here and have to spend the same getting them home in two years, or even next month if my visa renewal is rejected. Not to mention the month in quarantine coming back.

They're due for their annual vet visit, so by the time their new lucky cat slave picks them up, they'll be freshly up to date with their FIV and flu vaccines. In addition, they're the rarest of the rare for Australia - they are vaccinated against rabies. I had them done February 2007 with their other vaccinations when I last tried to get them across here - just as we found out we were pregnant.

Greebo is a mellow and slightly shy cat. Her favorite hobbies are sleeping and sunning herself in a nice warm place. This includes laps for friendly types. Meebles is more outgoing and is curious about his surroundings. He likes to look out windows, open doors and use mirrors the way Ceiling Cat intended. Meebles is not so much a lap cat, but more your average co-dependent cat. He likes to be in the same room as you, but rarely in arms reach unless he's after affection or its cold and wants some heat. Then he's really snuggly and friendly.

Greebo was run over six years ago, and so has a metal pin in her left hind leg. It doesn't cause her any pain and you only know its there when you pat her just so or very occasionally when she decides to do monorail cat, you can see it. Meebles is in good health. Both are 10 years old, fixed and microchipped. They're located in Oak Park, Victoria.

If you're interested, let me know.

thanks,
Andrew
