I could cry.
Guess Whos brother decided to get Married on the 3rd of August,
Not happy Jan.
And it gets worse, To really challenge my loyalties he has asked me to be best man.
I cant even skip Valla and return, going to the wedding and then back.
I told a friend of mine, "oh well theres always next year" he looked at me oddly and then crushed me by telling me its only held every
second year.
:cry:cry:cry:cry:cry:cry:cry:cry:cry:cry
I have tried to get my brother to bring it forward a week, but no good he has 10 airfairs booked from japan that wont budge cheaply and the 3rd marks
the anniversary of their meeting each other, blah blah blah, needless to say I would have more success convincing the organisers of Valla to shuffle
it back a week.
Anyone else stuck trying to work out their priorities like me.
:cry:cry
SIMPLE. GET YOUR BROTHER TO MOVE THE RECEPTION TO VALLA. I'M SURE THERE WOULD BE A FEW VEE DUBS HE COULD USE AS WEDDING CARS
Yer onto something there 72twincab (pitty I missed you Sunday!). I too have a close friends wedding on also.
Reception at Valla sounds the go. I can fit 9 in the Kombi
I will assume that the wedding will be at 3pm on the Sunday.
So....instead of driving your dub down from the Gold Coast, you could fly into Coffs Harbour.....organise with someone to pick you up [or get a lifteven from the Gold Coast to Nambucca on the Friday]. Then, on the Sunday at 11.00, get a lift up to Coffs Harbour airport, and then fly up to the Gold
Coast.....and meet your brother and help him get ready.
I know the times are tight, but you could make it for the Saturday, and leave really early on the Sunday.....
....unless your brothers wedding is on the Sunday morning....then....
:puke
Squiz.........
bummer man un lucky bout that
I've heard so much about Valla and never been but wanting to go.
So many things happening and the year is flying, very confused about priorities right now:cry
It sounds such a great event and like something I'd love to do, so will stay positive about getting there:sandrine
Pity about the wedding but I guess people plan them sometimes on long
weekends so that there is more time? Sounds like relatives from Japan, or guests at least, that they want to catch up with before the big event.
Weddings are a nightmare at the best of times:jesus
Wouldn't believe I'm a romantic, but weddings are a process only in the end so good when it's over and you can be normal
again:sandrine
Hey sweet that it is the anniversary of their meeting
Ouch, your brothers partner would not been impressed. Well it was worth a try:thumb
Hmm, well if I don't make it then it will be a two year wait as well, damn
Stay positive
I had a similar decision on the 10th . . . . my brothers wedding or footy . . . . if i was there we might hav won!
ah well family first i spose (specially when ya mum is big nasty and knows where ya crickbat is kept )
Hmm, wedding at Valla?.............
I'll try it on for size.
his timing has always been crap.
When I was single, everytime it looked like I was going to get lucky in the romance stakes he would ring or visit or just turn up and put it out live
a fireman.
:cry
If I wasnt best man then I could get away with skipping the sunday and returning but alas.
Although Bugorama 51 is on next weekend and thats awesome, but its also in Sacremento, if you get the chance GO its an awesome swap meet too.
:cry
Sacremento, USA? :o
We'll have a drink for you and ....
Well I always thought we should do an online hook up for those who can't make it e.g. laptop and line access sort of like an internet cafe thing
with chat about the event going on for those who can't make it (??????!!!!!!)
Is it possible or worthwhile???????
This means that if you have a laptop at the wedding you can join in on at least some of the fun
Well a thought:jesus:sandrine
