Coming back from the Hanging Rock Cruise yesterday. As I stopped at the Kingsway off ramp , I looked down at the speedo to see it roll over to 00000.
All zeros. Never had a car, let alone driving it when that has happened.
Minor mile stone.
Didnt have a camera on me, so had to take this pic when I got home. 00012
Dean, very cool:thumb
Amazing that you looked down to see it turn over:sandrine
DEan ive had that happen in about 4 cars so far...
I got a pic the first time ... but never worried bout it after that.
but it does look neat
Thats gotta be good for re-sale, time to sell it mate.
Steven
Mate thats cool , had that happen in my 76 about a month ago.
By the way thats a nice clear needle you have there on you 57 speedo.

I did mine in the Beetle last year on the way to Mitchellton.. Wierd feeling huh..
Sweet!
Original 0012 miles on the clock!
Yep, I gotta join these drippers: You go to a meet, and you come home with a new Dub!
cool. happened to me about 120 mls ago. great feeling eh!:bounce
Mines got about 1500 k's to go, here's hoping it's the first time. I thought those needles were suposed to be yelllow.
now thats kool
Saw that twice on my old Beetle when it had a mph speedo, then once more when I put a metric one in. Pretty amazing feeling.
Haven't got there on the Kombi yet, but a few weeks ago the speedo would have read 66666.6 (but I missed seeing it)
Yes, did it in the beetle a few years back Great fun.
The Kombi's only up to 420 000, not much chance of clocking it over??
you dont even get 00000 when you buy a brand new car.
So what number does this happen after????
You think I'm kidding
Jen its 99999 miles on oldies like ours.
you are kidding right.
