Fella I know was cleaning out his dads shed and had a stack of things to throw away, right on top is an old book "AUDELS NEW AUTOMOBILE GUIDE for Mechanics and Servicemen"printed in 1943 and in spectacular condition. First sentence in the "Authors Note" is "The modern automobile is a singularly complex machine. Its construction and maintenance involve the consideration of an extensive range of facts in several widely separated departments of science".
Fascinating read, but not all in one go.
