Is it a matter of buying a compressor from supercheap auto and the media then I am on my way? Safe to use at home?

Works good but minimum size air receiver would be the 52 litre one to supply enough air. I have it's small brother bench top one and with the smaller GMC etc etc type 24 litre receiver the motor works too hard and requires constant "rest periods". I only use the smaller one for model engine work so not a problem.

Well worth looking at for a "must have" if you have the room.

my next door neighbour has bought one ive used it once
works well but one really important fact they dont tell u in the instuctions is seal up every single joint really well with silicon
u would be amazed how much escapes
and also there is so much sand has gotten between the 2 layers of glass on the window which makes it really hard to see in
andrew has started using glass instead of sand in it
works so much better but is very exy espesially when so much of it is lost thro the joints

hey, i've used one a heap, blasting bits for my pop's T ford actually , we use glass instead of sand which works a treat but yer sealing is a real problem..

apart from that they're mega handy

Yep seal it totally before you use it. Replace the window with glass as it gets to the point that you cannot see anything. I have used one heaps and last engine rebuild i did nearly all the engine internals(except crank). Cleans everything up awesome and your oil stays clean for a very long time.
