I'm hoping my friends in the VW Club of VIC can help me!
I want to come down to Melbourne in a few weeks' time and spend some days in the VIC state library. Does anyone know if the library has old
copies of the VW Club of VIC's magazine in its collection? Especially from the beginning in 1954 to the 1970s? What was the magazine called in
those days?
The NSW State Library has copies of the NSW VW Club's magazine, and I've already been through those. It's the Victorian ones I'm
interested in.
I'm also curious to see what other VW documentation they have. The NSW library has a few VW factory booklets and brochures from the '60s,
but not much. As the VW factory was in Melbourne, I'm hoping the Vic library will have lots more. Anyone had a look?

New research for the book Fill
No idea but here's their website with searchable catalogue and contact info

Yes Dave, that's exactly what I'm doing!
Thanks Jen, will have a surf when I get a chance. I don't even know where the Vic state library is - haven't been to Melbourne for a few
years.
I'm thinking of the weekend of 14-15-16 June to come down to Melbourne. Would be keen on beers with you all in the evenings if you like!
Looks like the Vic library DOES have the Wagensville News, but only since 1972. Copies from 1976 are on site, but 1972-75 are in off-site storage. Did
the magazine have a different name before that??
Thanks Jen, will look a bit closer.
The NSW state library also had all four issues of New Horizons, VWA's magazine from 1965-66. I photocopied them. I've never seen them
anywhere else except in Dave Birchall's collection!
Doddy has some as well... or i should say the complete set of 4 issues.
The State Library is in Swanston St opposite RMIT and where the old museum was. Well the library was always there as well.
Used to go there a lot and weighed myself down with way too much information. Well that's another addiction:jesus
Glad the link was a help
