hey all
well the melbourne weather has got to me after 1 week
so im outta here to warmer parts of the planet for a bit of a lookisee..
i know some of you venture abroard and i would like to know of any great spots to swing by on my travels..
places im visiting-
hong kong, frankfurt, latvia, prague, austria - graz, thailand - koh samui
any tips would be great.. taa

Well I am not well travelled but I loved

Bali
Singapore
Hong Kong

in that order.

Mind you my ideal holiday is relaxation!

MInd you a friend backpacked through Vietnam and raved about it

Prague:
concentrate on beer halls, the castle and just general walk abouts... the city centre is quite compact.

Austria:
stunning in Vienna, also the ski villages are great in the summer and the ski lifts still operate so you can check out the mountain Vistas.
Saltzburg is very old world.... worth an afternoon trip,

have a great time......

Hong Kong - make sure you go to Jumbo for dinner one night and have their Peking Duck and Drunken Prawns. Also head just north out of Hong Kong City to some nice bays with bars on the water (sorry can't remember the name of those - about 30 min bus ride).

if in germany, travel to wolfsburg and tour vw factory and the autostrada. an unbelieveable experience. i went there last july. have a good trip.

still in riga, latvia and loving it..
we just had the longest day of the year here with the janis festival too boot!
night time lasted only about 4 or so hours and it was light again.. crazy!!
come to think of it it didnt get that dark.. hmmm
anyway saw a sweet T1, 70's factory vert heading down the highway 2 days ago.. nice..
no splits as of yet..

koh samui is full of other westerners and inflated prices, waste of time in my view..
for some real authentic beach hut action skip down into malaysia and the perenthian islands, located right up the north east side.. not too far from samui. get a hut for a buck a night, cheep booze, a few hours of elec a night and party on with bonfires and spend the day in the pristine sands and beaches... far better then samui.
thailand is such a well worn tourist route thats its hard to do anything original or find things untouched...

people and places here are fantastic n so is the beer! hooray!

hey hey.. cruisin about in austria ATM and spotted a nice early 70's factory vert near graz today..
roof down which was perfect for the sunny warm weather here ATM..
btw whats the weather been like in melb of late pls anybody..
